Goat Cheese Bruschetta with Grapes and Honey

It takes 10-15 minutes to put together these beautiful bruschetta. They make a slightly sweet hors d’œuvre.

Ingredients:

10 baguette slices, cut ½ inch (about 1 cm) thick
140 g. (5 oz.) spreadable goat cheese (chèvre)
3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil to brush the bread slices
2 small tomatoes, sliced into discs
3 tablespoons honey
⅓ cup red grapes, halved
8 walnuts, halved, and roasted

Directions:

Preheat the oven to 200C/400F.
Brush the baguette slices with olive oil, and broil for 30 seconds on each side.
Drizzle honey evenly over the toasted slices.
Place a tomato slice on top of each bread slice.
Spread one tablespoon of goat cheese on each tomato slice.
Broil the baguette slices to just slightly brown the goat cheese.
Decorate with grapes and walnut halves
If you have a sweet tooth, drizzle more honey on top of each toast. Serve warm.
