Until we meet again teta
Until we meet again teta
A few days ago my cherished grandma passed away peacefully in the hospital before even undergoing her heart operation . She was 92!!
I will miss hearing her voice and will miss her elegant controlled smile with her green attractive eyes. My visits to Lebanon would no more be the same without her presence.
Growing up, I had a wonderful bond with her and I was lucky to have spent good timewith her! I remember watching her and teaching me some of her cooking secrets.
Granny was an exceptional character in all the molds, a devoted grandmother, cultured with elegance and taste. I will be lucky if, when I am 90, I would look as good as she did!
She gained love and respect from all her grandsons and granddaughters by the virtue of her generous deeds and she was a woman of her words, she only gave us compliments when she really meant it. She was like a shiny star that radiated light, elegance and love to all people around her. Anyone who knew her will always tell how great she was!! I am blessed to be part of this loving family, and we all owe it to you teta!! We will cherish all the memories we had with you! Your spirit and compassion will be missed greatly and Beirut was a much better place with you in it!
She was a fantastic cook – she made her food with so much love and affection, the wonderful aroma that floated her kitchen was and still part of a beautiful memory that invades my mind every now and then, whatever we nicknamed her Granny, Teta or Roro, to me all have the same meaning… Your heart was a patchwork of love! Until we meet again teta!!
