Adorable single serving spaghetti nests – simple to make, tasty and presentable. Kids and grown-ups will love these baked treats! If you are looking for ideas for your kid’s birthday, keep this recipe on your mind, it was one of my favorite ways to incude a savory dish to my kids’ birthdays. Kids eat with their eyes and making the food look nice on a plate would be a way letting them to eat savory dishes even on birthdays.

Adorable single serving spaghetti nests - simple to make, tasty and presentable. Kids and grown-ups will love these baked treats! If you are looking for ideas for your kid's birthday, keep this recipe on your mind, it was one of my favorite ways to incude a savory dish to my kids' birthdays.

Ingredients
 

  • 250 g /9oz spaghetti
  • 250 g/9oz ground beef
  • 2 onions finely chopped
  • 1 garlic clove crushed
  • 3 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 5 tablespoons canola oïl
  • 1 teaspoon butter
  • A dash of freshly grated black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt or to taste
  • 1 cup Swiss cheese grated
  • 4 tablespoons breadcrumbs to sprinkle the holes of the muffin tin

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C/350°F.
  • Cook the spaghetti following package directions.Drain
  • In a skillet over medium heat, add the oïl, butter and ground meat. Cook until the fluids from the meat have all evaporated.
  • Add the onions and garlic and stir constantly till the onions are tender.
  • Add the tomato paste, salt and black pepper.
  • Add the cooked spaghetti and stir with a fork to integrate the mixture (no need to add water).
  • Butter 15 medium sized holes of a muffin tin.
  • Sprinkle the breadcrumbs evenly over the greased holes.
  • Divide the spaghetti between the holes to fill it,creating nest shapes.
  • Sprinke the cheese evenly on top.
  • Bake in the oven for about 12-15 minutes, or to melt the cheese and slightly change its color.
  • Remove from the oven. Let the nests cool down for 2-3 minutes, run a knife around the edges to loosen the spaghetti nests and serve.
