Peanut Butter Nutella Rice Krispie Pinwheels
December happens to be my favorite month on the calendar! Holidays are around the corner and I hope you are all getting ready for a wonderful 2017! I know you will want to start planning your menu for Christmas and New years Eve! I have something special for you today! "Nutella Peanut Butter Rice Krispie Pinwheels"! Looks wonderful, right? And it is way too easy to make! The idea of this dessert came to my mind from a recipe I have posted before - Peanut Butter Rice Krispy Balls Coated with Chocolate! The additional ingredients are Nutella and mini marshmallows!
Who agrees with me that Nutella and peanut butter is a match made in food heaven? And these peanut butter Nutella Rice Krispie Pinwheels are so much fun to make and dufficult to resist - even a novice can easily achieve! Just add some fun to the rice krispies by adding peanut butter and powdered sugar, smother with Nutella and roll it into a log!! Yes as simple as that, yet the end result is so presentable on your holiday buffet!
The dessert can be made one day ahead! When you are ready to serve, all you have to do is add the mini marshmallows on top and broil! How scrumptious!
In a bowl, combine the peanut butter, powdered sugar, butter and rice krispies. Stir until the mixture is well combined.
- Line a shallow oven sheet with waxed paper and butter the waxed paper. Evenly press the mixture into the prepared pan.
Smother the nutella evenly on top.
Using the waxed paper, delicately roll the peanut butter Nutella Krispies into a tight log.
Freeze for half an hour,
Add the mini marshmallows on top and place under a broiler, and watch for the marshmallows until they become brown – it takes about 1-2 minutes.
