Description

Break your fast with the banana date smoothie or even serve it for suhoor as a light meal.   Feel free to add less milk for a heavier consistency. I like mine thin, especially for iftar.  This is easy to make and also good for you.

Equipment

  • Blender

Ingredients
 

  • 4 cups milk
  • 14 medjool dates pitted
  • 2 ripe bananas peeled
  • 1/3 cup oats

Topping:

  • Strawberries or any berries of your choice
  • Toasted pecans

Instructions
 

  • Place the pitted dates, bananas, ground oats and milk in a blender and blend on high until smooth. Refrigerate
  • Pour into glasses and top with with pecans and your favorite berries.
