My trip to Paris

I am back from Paris and had an amazing 9 day vacation with my husband and my adorable son, Ali, who happens to be studying in Paris; so it was a vacation and family reunion at the same time! This is my second visit to this fascinating lively city and in my both visits, I just felt I didn’t want to leave! A vital city that I love to the core and a modern city with a very deep sense of history and heritage!Visiting museums and cultural aspects (Louvre museum, Versailles palace, Eiffel tower, Notre Dame Cathedral etc..), strolling the streets and admiring the aesthetically old pleasing beige buildings, drinking hot chocolate on a rainy day, enjoying refined  pastries…chocolate… and macarons, visiting adorable coffee shops, shopping in chic boutiques, strolling Bastille market – an outdoor market and one of the city’s biggest market!! I could easily spend months exploring Paris since there is so much to see and do. My nine days in Paris were magnificent!

I honestly cannot say enough positive things about Paris! I hope the pictures will inspire you to a visit the city of light!!

At Chateau Versailles! one of the most famous monuments of world heritage!!

The gardens at Châteaude Versailles are famed for their geometrically aligned terraces and flowerbeds

At Eiffel Tower

An incredible view of Paris from Eiffel Tower

The Louvre museum is one of the finest art galleries in the world!!

At Notre-Dame Cathedral! Along with the Eiffel Tower, Notre-Dame Cathedral is one of Paris’s most famous landmarks.

Inside the Cathedral! World renowned for its architectural magnificence.

And now a foodie tour: Macarons are phenomenal at Laduree! My favorite ones are the pistachios!!

Amazing croissants, pains au chocolat and chaussons almost everywhere in Paris!!

Tarte Tatin at laduree is quite delicious!! Baked apple beded on a light puff pastry and topped with a lazy drop of whipped cream!!

Pistachio Saint Honoré at Laduree! A taste to remember!!

Enjoying my breakfast at Marriott hotel, Paris.

Fine Dining at Le Cinq! A 3 michelin star restaurant led by chef Christian Le Squer! Looking for an elegant dining experience, Le Cinq is a place to consider in Paris!!

My beloved husband Ramzi.

One of the pleasures of a cold rainy day in Paris is being able to enjoy a cup of hot chocolate

The view from my hotel room to Champs-Elysee

The Champs Elysées is perhaps the most famous shopping street in Paris!!

Champ Elysees is one of Paris’s biggest tourist traps. Lots of cafes, restaurants and shops!

With my adorable son Ali

With my husband Ramzi at La défense! A modern highrise tower district in Paris!!

When it comes to food, my husband Ramzi is a bit particular in choice! Lebanese recipes excite his taste buds most. But I have to admit that he was open to try new cuisines to please me – he knows I am genuinely open to new tastes and constantly looking for new cuisines to try, but at the end of the day he would push me to a Lebanese restaurant, justifying that nothing makes him filled like Lebanese food! Among our favorite Lebanese restaurants we dined in in Paris is Al Ajami restaurant. If you have plans in the future to visit Paris and wonder where to eat Lebanese, I would recommend this restaurant. The food is authentic and I gurantee you will have a good meal!
